Terms of service

Clear expectations support better records.

These Terms govern access to the CovenanTact website and services provided by Coventras L.L.C., doing business as CovenanTact.

Effective August 18, 2026

Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using CovenanTact, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use the Services for an association or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for it.

Accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Permissions in CovenanTact Community depend on association membership and assigned roles. Access to one association does not authorize access to another.

The Services

CovenanTact provides tools for organizing and working with property and community information. Features may be introduced, changed, limited, or discontinued. Beta, pilot, preview, and development features may be incomplete and are provided for evaluation under any additional terms we present.

CovenanTact is not a law firm, accounting firm, property manager, or government agency. The Services do not provide legal, tax, accounting, engineering, insurance, or other professional advice. You are responsible for verifying deadlines, governing documents, official records, and decisions with appropriate professionals and authoritative sources.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Coventras L.L.C. a limited license to host, process, reproduce, transmit, and display that content as necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services. You represent that you have the rights and authority needed to submit the content and make it available to the intended users.

You may not use the Services to violate law or another person’s rights; upload malicious code; evade permissions; probe or disrupt security; impersonate another person; scrape or access data without authorization; or use the Services to harass, defraud, or cause harm.

Association-controlled records

Some Community records are controlled by an association rather than by an individual user. Association administrators are responsible for establishing authorized membership and roles, handling official records, and complying with applicable governance, disclosure, retention, and privacy duties. Leaving an association or deleting an individual account may not remove association-controlled records.

Third-party services

The Services may rely on or link to third-party hosting, authentication, storage, payment, communications, or other services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Fees

If paid features are offered, prices, billing intervals, renewal terms, taxes, cancellation options, and any refund terms will be disclosed before purchase. Association money and platform fees will be handled according to the applicable product and payment-provider terms.

Intellectual property

The Services, software, designs, branding, and related materials—excluding your content—are owned by Coventras L.L.C. or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership or grant permission to use CovenanTact branding except as needed to use the Services.

Suspension and termination

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, records, or legal compliance, or when these Terms are materially violated. You may stop using the Services and request account deletion. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable as the sole repository for records you are legally required to preserve.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coventras L.L.C. and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, use, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Services. Applicable law may not allow every limitation, so some limitations may not apply to you.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the Services change. We will post revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate. Questions may be sent to legal@covenantact.com.
